Indian Restaurant BigTikka hosts Festival of Lights each year in its restaurants and this year was a standout. Diwali is an ancient Hindu festival of lights, which celebrates the triumph of good over evil. Prince Rama returned to his kingdom of Ayodhya after rescuing his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana in a fierce battle and all subjects celebrated with decorating lights & preparing tasty food. All patrons were treated to a visible delight of Diya’s (oil lamps) and furniture coverings. The chefs also prepared some traditional delicacies Indian food including sweets to mark the occasion.
