BigTikka operates in two locations on the Northshore and plays a big part in Auckland’s diverse food scene. India cuisine has an abundance of spice and aromas; over the year’s scintillated global taste buds through exotic array of dishes. Rich interiors, along with an ambience that spells traditional grandeur will instantly transport you to India.
OurSetting
As you walk in rickshaw (tuk-tuk), Dhoohwala (milk-man) bicycle & Thela (food vendor cart) gives you a teaser. The interior reminisces of a past age, evoking a sense of old-house charm adding a grand setting copper vessels and utensils line walls and ceiling. A full display kitchen first of its kind (in NZ for an Indian restaurant) gives you frontline seats to the live action.OurFood
To ensure authentic flavour and taste, most of the ingredients are sourced directly from India through importers in NZ. Sourced spices & ingredients are carefully blended with local produce and cooked using traditional methods and innovative twists to deliver an experience that is familiar yet different.
